Dr. Meneses has also recently submitted a paper entitled "Liquefaction-Induced Lateral Load on Pile in a Medium Relative Density Sand Layer," to be published in the prestigious International Journal on Physical Modeling in Geotechnics. Dr. Meneses coauthored the paper with some of the most distinguished international leaders in the field of geotechnical earthquake engineering including Professor Ricardo Dobry (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), Professor Ahmed Elgamal (UC San Diego), Professor Kohji Tokimatsu (Tokyo Institute of Technology) and Professor Masanori Hamada (Waseda University, Tokyo).
Dr. Jorge F. Meneses has more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of geotechnical earthquake engineering including consulting, project management, research and teaching. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, reviewer of journals and conferences papers, and has more than 40 technical publications. He is also a part-time faculty in the University of California San Diego Extension. Dr. Meneses received his Master and PhD under the supervision of Professor Kenji Ishihara at the University of Tokyo.
