Melani Oakley joins the Albuquerque Office as Environmental Group Manager

Melani Oakley recently joined Kleinfelder’s Albuquerque office as Environmental Group Manager. Oakley brings to the office more than 20 years of environmental experience primarily in the Environmental Planning and Permitting arena.

During her career, Oakley has successfully developed clients and projects in the transportation, energy, government and water resources markets throughout the western U.S. She has been involved in both project management and delivery and the development and delivery of in-house training programs on all aspects of field recon, habitat assessments, NEPA compliance, local flora identification, wetland delineations, and Clean Water Act permitting. Oakley’s strengths also include construction compliance assistance and all aspects of pre-construction environmental planning and permitting for linear (pipelines, transmission lines, roadways, fiber optics, etc.) and other expansion project.

Oakley earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and a Master of Science in biology from Southwest Texas State University and has numerous certifications related to wetland delineation, noise surveys, biological surveys and species-specific threatened and endangered species surveying and monitoring.
