Mike Majchzak Authors Feature Article for Geo-Strata Magazine

Mike Majchzak, P.E., G.E., M.ASCE, authored an article titled, “The People Need You,” and published to the September/October issue of Geo-Strata Magazine. Majchzak’s feature discussed the importance of scientific and engineering professional becoming involved and engaged in their communities through public service and publicly held community positions.

Majchzak is a principal geotechnical engineer with the firm’s Pleasanton, California office. In addition to his senior geotechnical assistance, Majchzak mentors engineers, scientists and managers at all levels, and oversees large-scale project management.

Majchzak has more than 30 years of geotechnical engineering experience that includes landslide evaluation, large developments, pipelines, bridges, pump stations, large industrial complexes, and repair of landslides. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Loyola Marymount University and his master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from Stanford University. Majchzak is a registered Geotechnical and Professional Civil Engineer in the state of California and is an active member of numerous organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Earth Engineering Research Institute, and the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California.
