SAN DIEGO - Kleinfelder is pleased to announce winning a bronze medal in the Environmental Business Journal's 2009 Business Achievement Awards for the acquisition of Massachusetts-based S E A Consultants Inc. in November 2009.
Kleinfelder is an employee-owned science and engineering consulting firm, and S E A is a full-service engineering, architecture and planning firm for the energy, federal and state government, military, higher education, municipality, and transportation markets.
"We have been executing a strategic growth plan since 1992, and our acquisition of S E A was part of our 2015 vision to become increasingly multifaceted. S E A brought additional design, architecture and sustainability expertise to our portfolio," said Bill Siegel, Kleinfelder CEO. "We are honored to have won the EBJ 2009 Business Achievement Award because it says a lot about our company and our quest to become a partner for our clients in their sustainability efforts."
Kleinfelder's employee base of more than 2,000 will grow to more than 2,200 with the S E A acquisition. S E A has become Kleinfelder/SEA and represents the New England region for Kleinfelder. The 2009 Business Achievement Awards banquet will take place on March 3, 2010.
